A Hands-On STEM Field Trip in Charlotte
Sloomoo Institute is where field trips get slimy (and scientific). Students mix, stretch, and experiment with slime, a non-Newtonian fluid, and walk away knowing more about polymer chemistry than they expected. The whole experience is packed with hands-on STEM fun, and we welcome school groups, homeschool co-ops, scout troops, summer camps, and kindergarten classes. Flexible weekday scheduling and group pricing make it simple.
Located at Metropolitan in Midtown, Sloomoo is one of the most unique indoor activities in Charlotte, NC, for student groups. From the Slime Gallery and Lake Sloomoo to the DIY Bar, where kids design their own custom slime, every station connects play to science. Sloomoo hosts educational field trips at nine locations across the country, and Charlotte brings the full Institute experience.

Wear play clothes!
Think pants and shirts with sleeves you can easily roll up.
Leave your favorite shoes at home.
For those with long hair, we recommend wearing it back.
Our slime is easily removed with white vinegar and water.

Parking: Metropolitan offers free parking to all guests. Levels P1-P3 of the parking deck are exclusively reserved for Metropolitan visitors.
