Sloomoo is a feeling.
It’s a world that - simply put - feels like joy. The kind of joy that inspires, captivates, and ignites creativity, wonder, stress relief, and escape.
We do this through everything we bring to life: slime-filled, interactive experiences that light up the senses; artisanal, handmade slime; playful, must-have merch; and - coming soon! - a universe of media (character-based books, animations, and more).
Founded by two friends who found healing through slime during difficult times in their lives, Sloomoo’s mission is DELIVER JOY.
So roll up your sleeves, put down your phones, and immerse yourself in Sloomoo slime and all things #satisfying.

You get to leave the world behind when you step into the Sloomooverse, a playful exploration of hundreds of gallons of handmade slime…

Get ready for the world’s largest DIY Bar to design your dream slime (over 4M combinations), smush slime on an ever-growing wall, slingshot slime, and more.
The Institutes also have a lake of cloud slime to walk on, ASMR sound baths, day-glow dancing, and so much more. You can get slimed at Sloomoo Falls, jump on squishies, and learn (slime is all science).
The MiniMoos are literally mini versions of the Institutes. While there are fewer slimescapes, there is just as much joy!
Sloomoo is a place where everyone is welcome, kiddos are free to be themselves, and grown-ups are able to be kids again.
Sloomoo Institutes and MiniMoos are slick and glossy, a contemporary curation of sinuous architecture and artful installations. Created in partnership with world class architecture firm, Method Design, Sloomoo’s curvy design conjures the enveloping aesthetic of slime flow.
Every vibrant element is bespoke and accessible, from exuberant colors (based on color therapy) to the fiberglass sculptural “vats” for slime play (they were also built for 360-degree wheelchair access).
Dreamy and dynamic, Sloomoo was a finalist for Fast Company’s Innovation by Design Award.

Our name, Sloomoo (pronounced “Sloooo-mooo”) came from a funny, viral trend in the slime community in 2017.
The founders, besties of 17 years, discovered dozens of stories about how play enabled others to relieve stress and anxiety.
Slimers captioned their posts with this: “replace the vowels of your name with ‘oo’ and that’s your new slime name.”
We call our language “Sloomoosh.” What’s your name?

Sloomoo was born from a very personal place. Playing with slime brought the Co-Founders joy at a very difficult time in life (read more here).
The founders, besties of 17 years, discovered dozens of stories about how play enabled others to relieve stress and anxiety.
They knew it was more than a kid’s toy and wanted to share it with the world. Hence, the brand partners with the Goldie Hawn Foundation’s MindUP, a non-profit that supports mental fitness for children, globally. “Soothing the senses is a relaxation technique used in behavioral therapy. It lowers your fight or flight stress response, which results in lowering your blood pressure and heart rate.
When your body relaxes, your mind can function better,” explains Dr. Judith Joseph, a New York psychiatrist and Chair of The Women in Medicine Initiative for Columbia University. “Play is crucial for a child’s development but also beneficial for people of all ages. It can trigger endorphins to promote an overall sense of well-being.”

As a women-led company, Sloomoo actively champions inclusivity holistically across the brand; given the Co-Founder’s personal connection to neurodiversity, leadership is supportive of a neurodiverse workforce—over 85% of adults with autism cannot find jobs.
They collaborate with regional nonprofits to identify and hire talent on the spectrum, many of whom bring job coaches to work with them. “We believe that it not only makes the work environment better, but it makes everyone a better person,” says Sara Schiller.
Sloomoo also prioritizes partnerships with minority-owned businesses and regularly engages in community outreach initiatives; their commitment to representation extends to even the smallest details. When Sloomoo noticed there was a lack of diversity of slime charms, they collaborated with artist Taylor Haynes to create charms that showcase Brown and Black girls, ensuring that guests see themselves in their creative experience.

Sloomoo goes through hundreds of gallons of slime every month and don’t want to add more waste to the landfill. The brand partnered with the Center for Architecture, Science and Ecology (CASE) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) to find a sustainable solution for slime waste.
Working alongside Joshua Draper, a professor and researcher, and Rahmi Ozisik, PhD, a materials scientist, they created a “Slime Matrix” and studied all of the Sloomoo slime ingredients. The result: Sloomoo slime is biodegradable and would actually be compostable in industrial heat. Sloomoo is working towards finding an industrial composting partner in the future.
