The Power of Play

We did a study with a research group called GoodQues to understand the loneliness epidemic. We’re living in a time of screen addiction and swipe culture and it’s leaving many with the feeling of lack of connection. We found that 73% of workers are eager to know their colleagues better and 77% want their jobs to foster deeper connections.

Employers are focused on creating a positive and rewarding work environment for their teams and according to the latest SHRM report, workers in positive organizational cultures are almost four times more likely to stay with their current employer.

So what does everyone want? Definitely more than a pizza party.

The solution: The power of play.

Why Play?

Playing is good for us! Studies show that play helps decrease stress and increase our dopamine immediately. Playing during the day helps decrease employee anxiety and it regulates the nervous system.

Employees who play during the day are more likely to connect with each other, increasing employee productivity and boosting morale at once.

Play also has positive long-term effects, as experts theorize that playing helps reduce the risk of dementia and makes us more adaptable problem-solvers. Creating a space for play with your team and employees creates a happier team with creative, solution-oriented thinkers.

So that brings us to slime…

We are socialized out of play, so playing as an adult takes intention and prioritization. Playing with your hands is known to drive neurogenesis, the creation of new neural pathways. So it’s healthy for your brain.

Enter Sloomoo… playing with slime, whether you make it from scratch, design and customize your own, or simply indulge in the squeeze, is a team activity everyone will love.

In our study with GoodQues, we found that 75% of employees felt calmer, more creative and more connected after a slime session.

Sloomoo slime engages your senses - sight, touch, sound, and scent - and it’s an innovative way to get to know your team. You can talk about what the scents remind you of (scent is the sense that’s closest tied to memory). Discuss what textures everyone finds most appealing. Blend colors together. Share slime tricks. It creates an immediate pathway to smiles and meaningful moments.

With over 4 million combinations of slime, each member of your team will get a custom memento to remember their day of play - and always have the slimey sense of playfulness right at their desk (we promise, it helps keep you focused when you’re on a Zoom or in a meeting).

Gift your team with a feeling they can’t scroll: exploration and playfulness.
